Regular 800 stock 1st Matt McCray, 2nd Ryan McCray, 3rd Brendan Alec. Regular 900 stock 1st Richard Brown, 2nd Ryan McCray, 3rd Tyson Garrett. Regular 600 improved 1st Dwayne Etzerza, 2nd Ryan McCray, 3rd Meg Gorman. Regular 700 improved 1st Ryan McCray, 2nd Meg Gorman, 3rd Dwayne Etzerza.

Last week the Lakes District Secondary School senior boys held a AA basketball zones tournament. The results are as follows: First: DP Todd Secondary, Second: Dawson Creek Secondary, Third: Lakes District Secondary, Fourth: Nechako Valley, Fifth: Kelly Road

Omineca Ski Club welcomed 70 athletes from across the province for a weekend of biathlon competition on Feb. 17 and 18 when they hosted BC Cup #3. While the weather supplied a few challenges like blustery winds that affected shooting on Saturday and cold weather delay on Sunday morning, in the end the brilliant sunshine and blue skies showed off the best that 亚洲天堂 Lake can offer - even the infamous Sasquatch put in an appearance.

亚洲天堂 Lake residents Gunter Hoehne Wren Gilgan, Aidan Carroll and Lyle Phillips enjoyed a day of fat biking on Francois Lake. A fat bike is an off-road bicycle with oversized tires. It is designed for low ground pressure to allow riding on soft unstable terrain such as snow. Remember you must have at least two inches of ice to walk or go skating on or in this case fat biking. You need over four inches of ice to go snowmobiling or to have groups of people ice fishing in one spot.

Emily Dickson, 20, 亚洲天堂 Lake native and rising star in Olympic Biathlon was named one of 55 young Canadian athletes from both summer and winter sports selected by Petro-Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee to receive Fuelling Athletes and Coaching Excellence (FACE) program grant. These athletes and their coaches are awarded a $10,000 FACE grant to help them with their journey ($5,000 directly to the athlete and $5,000 to their coach).
