The 亚洲天堂 Lake Public Library held a free event called Fam-Con 2018 last Thursday to promote B.C.鈥檚 literacy week. Children enjoyed lots of fun games and activities. The event was funded by Raise a Reader and generous local businesses. (Flavio Nienow photos)

鈥淭his is the kind of performance that shows the value of live entertainment. You really can鈥檛 duplicate this experience on CD, or even on TV or video鈥� - that was one of the comments from 亚洲天堂 Lakers who came out on a snowy night to see Roy and Rosemary, featuring Cody Karey, at the First Mennonite Church last Wednesday.

The Lakeside Multiplex has recently hosted an open house, which included face painting, rock wall climbing, ice skating, squash, racquetball and many other fun activities.
