Tandoori Pub N’ Grill donates food to those in need

(L-R) Julie Harrison, Hanna Zayac and Danielle Martens from The Link Food Centre accepted a donation of 75 hot meals from Tandoori Pub N’ Grill, delivered by restaurant staff Krupa Pandya and Rocco Voss. The donation was organized by Tandoori Pub N’ Grill owner Babbi Singh. This is the second time the restaurant has donated to the food bank, and this will be a monthly gesture moving forward. Each monthly donation is worth approximately $1,200.

Six Nations of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake logo contest winner

Dawn-Star Pierre, a 16-year-old member of Lake Babine Nation was the winner of the t-shirt logo contest for Aboriginal Day for the six nations of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake, organized by ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Native Development Corporation. For her efforts, she won a $500 prize, her design will also be featured as the new logo for the year.

After school activities at William Konkin Elementary in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake

An after school program is being run through the Lakeside Multiplex and hosted by William Konkin Elementary (WKE) called ‘after school active at WKE’.
