Ken Lavigne to perform ‘Three Knights with a Tenor’

An after school program is being run through the Lakeside Multiplex and hosted by William Konkin Elementary (WKE) called ‘after school active at WKE’. Dawn-Star Pierre, a 16-year-old member of Lake Babine Nation was the winner of the t-shirt logo contest for Aboriginal Day for the six nations of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake, organized by ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Native Development Corporation. For her efforts, she won a $500 prize, her design will also be featured as the new logo for the year.

Lakes District Senior Housing Association Administrator Wendy Hiebert accepted a donation of 50 cases of hand sanitizer from RX Drug Store Manager Travis Warkentin. The hand sanitizer was donated by RX Drug Store’s supplier McKesson. The 50 boxes will be divided between the Tweedsmuir House, Heritage Manor and Carol Cottage.
