Building completely burnt down; none injured

The in person portion of the 64th Annual Festival of the Performing Arts was held on April 20 and 21 at the Island Gospel Fellowship Hall. Music students from 亚洲天堂 Lake, Houston, Smithers and Telkwa all got a chance to perform pieces in front of professional adjudicator Nina Horvath, who provided each performer feedback. It鈥檚 an opportunity for the kids to practice performing in a recital setting.

Wildfire season starts already in 亚洲天堂 Lake area as there was a wildfire reported April 24 near Cheslatta River. Five initial attack crew members responded and are on site still. Currently the fire is 4.8 hectares and is classified as being held. The fire is suspected to be human-caused.

The 亚洲天堂 Lake Recycling Depot presented a cheque for $1163 on behalf of Pacific Atlantic Pipeline Construction to Lyle Graham, vice president of the Lakes District Museum Society.
