Granisle seniors came to ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake on March 15 for a fun game of carpet bowling. The Lakes District Senior Society holds carpet bowling every Wednesday at the Decker Lake Hall. More events up coming for seniors is March 21: Lunch – Immaculata – 12 Noon, April 4: Lunch - Immaculata – 12 Noon, AGM to follow and save the date for June 23: Picnic - Save the date, more details coming soon. The 65th Annual Festival of the Performing Arts was a nine day event that took place in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake. it all started on March 9 leading up to the Gala Honours Concert on March 18. Various performances took place such as instrumental, speech arts, piano and vocal.

Several awards were presented to members of the department including Brian Brinkhurst – 30-year Federal Exemplary Service Medal, the Firefighter of the Year was awarded to Dirk Hofer, The Rookie of the Year award went to Mitch Kingscote. Fire Chief Robert Krause 35-year Provincial Long Service Medal. Mayor Henry Wiebe was on hand to present some awards.
