Local craft brewery Ursa Minor Brewing is raising a toast to 亚洲天堂 Lake鈥檚 centennial year with a new beer, 鈥淕athering Place Fest Ale,鈥� meant to be inclusive and approachable but still flavourful enough to qualify as a Craft Beer.

The Omineca Ski Club held a St. Patrick鈥檚 day fun day with their annual Lakes Loppet on March 19. Along with the Loppet event and a kid鈥檚 Shamrock Hunt. They couldn鈥檛 have asked for a better day, the sun was shining and it was a perfect six degree. One of the highlights of the day was the local mascots racing against each other 鈥� the Omineca Sasquatch, 亚洲天堂ie from the Lakes District 亚洲天堂, Bon Homme, Lakey the Moose from the Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake.

1962 Saul Creek Floods, Center gulley Written in 鈥淗istory Matters鈥� 鈥� On June 28 after a heavy rain, Saul Creek breached its banks and ran wild through 亚洲天堂 Lake. Flood waters washed out center street between fifth and seventh, tore away sidewalks, and rushed through town. The rain didn鈥檛 let up for a week, and the damage was extensive by that time. It wasn鈥檛 until July 5 that Highway 16 reopened to traffic.

亚洲天堂 Lake Public Library held an open house March 10 from 1- 2 p.m. Photographer enthusiast, Diane Killman was in the spotlight as she took her audience through a series of photographs featuring, 鈥淪eniors Over the Years.鈥� Coffee, tea and cookies were served. The Bulkley Valley Credit Union made a big cheque presentation to the 亚洲天堂 Lake Foundry 鈥� $30,000. Branch manager in 亚洲天堂 Lake Nathan Way said, 鈥淲e thought it was an important service to be brought to our community. A way for young people to connect with peers and professionals to get the support they need.
