Charity golf game raises big bucks

The Grip It and Rip It for World Hunger golf event raised more than $13,000 from local donations. The Canadian government will match the earnings, and more than $69,000 will go to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank and be spent on alleviating hunger in developing countries. Paddle power of First Nations youth

A group of 10 First Nations youth from the 亚洲天堂 Lake area took part in a 113 kilometre canoe trip in August. Ten young people from the Wet鈥檚uwet鈥檈n and Lake Babine nations set off in their canoes from Vernon on Aug. 27 and finished in Penticton on Aug. 30. The group paddled about 30 km per day.
