Arthritis society鈥檚 call for government to make reducing wait times a priority

Last week, Democracy Watch, the non-profit that works on government accountability and reform in democracy, filed a lawsuit against John Horgan鈥檚 call for snap elections. In the words of the organization鈥檚 co-founder Duff Conacher, 鈥淏y calling a snap election instead of waiting for the fixed election date a year from now, Premier Horgan acted like an old dictator not a new democrat鈥� and this is despite agreeing to a fixed election date in 2001.

On Oct. 21, NASA astronaut, Chris Cassidy and cosmonauts Ivan Vagner and Anatoly Ivanishin returned to earth after spending 196 days in space, living and working in Earth鈥檚 orbit on the International Space Station.

In the last two weeks of October, a large part of Canada celebrates something called, Take Me Outside Day, a day for children to learn outside and for teachers to inculcate in them the importance of stepping outside. This year, this day will be celebrated today, on Oct. 21.

Don鈥檛 you just miss civility? You don鈥檛 have to keep saying 鈥減lease鈥� and 鈥渢hank you鈥� and 鈥渟orry鈥� to be civil. How about just sticking to being good humans? It just baffles me how adults, grown-up men and women these days, are much more ill-mannered than little kids who they are trying to mold into becoming better human beings.
