Condolences are pouring in for the family of a Sooke boy who died earlier this month.
An online campaign to support the family 鈥� parents Amanda and John as well as younger sister Amelia 鈥� is garnering words and funds of support naming the boy as 13-year-old Isaiah.
鈥淥ur community has lost an amazing young man,鈥� the campaign page reads.
鈥淗e was a beautiful, bright, kind-hearted soul with an adventurous spirit and full of potential. Early on, he loved tinkering with computers and spent many hours visiting our local Gadget tree. He became quite the computer whiz, so much that they hired him. His friends could always count on him to help with their technology issues.鈥�
While a cause of death is not revealed, the BC Corners Service confirmed it is investigating the death of a young person from Sooke. As the investigation is ongoing, the service will not provide further details. Sooke 亚洲天堂 Mirror has requested the coroner鈥檚 report when the investigation is complete. The current average timeline for a report 鈥� impacted by complexity and other ongoing invitations 鈥� is 16 months. Reports are only released once considered by the chief coroner, who determines if it is in the public interest.
