Young has served on the Old Massett village council and as a School District 50 trustee

The village of 亚洲天堂 Lake Mayor and council are mulling over the idea of having a residential school memorial in the village.

Six Nations of 亚洲天堂 Lake organized a healing ceremony called 鈥淓very Child Matters鈥�, in memory of the 215 children discovered at the Kamloops Residential school. The healing ceremony was held on Friday, July 9 at Spirit Square and attendees were given orange shirts. There was an opening prayer, address by the four clan hereditary chiefs, six nations鈥� chiefs鈥� welcome statements followed by lunch, drumming, presentation to survivors, 2 minutes and 15 seconds silence.

Activities for all age groups available at the library

Lakeside Multiplex鈥檚 Camp Phoenix, the kids summer camp for kids aged six years to 12 has begun. The camp, which is filled with activities such as theme days, arts and crafts, games and daily activities, will run until Sept. 3.
