In answer to several articles in our local paper. I would like to set the record straight.
One was if it hadn鈥檛 of been for Tom Forsyth we wouldn鈥檛 of got an arena. To my knowledge Tom Forsyth didn鈥檛 do a thing toward the arena and I think I should know. As a matter of fact I don鈥檛 know why they called it the Tom Forsyth Arena. Paul Jean had it right.
The other one is the rotary and village built the Rod Reid Trail. Alex Bergen with the boy scouts built the view decks and some small bridges. I donated an excavator, a loader and a skidder and George Reed donated a dump truck. Bill Waldron, Steve Reid and myself built the trail and bridges. Volunteered trucks, donated hauling the crushed rock and Art Cronin donated the grading.
I asked to get paid for my fuel which was $700 and the machine renal I donated came to $17,000.
