There's a first time for everything, and last night, for the first time in B.C., a lucky winner or winners ticket matched all seven numbers and will go home with the "record-breaking" $80 million Lotto Max jackpot.

The winning Lotto Max ticket was purchased in Surrey, B.C.

"The seven winning numbers were 6, 10, 16, 17, 30, 38, and 48," the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) said in a news release Saturday (May 10).

The winner has 52 weeks from the date printed on their ticket to claim their prize.

The BCLC said the location where the ticket was purchased and the lottery winner(s) name will be announced when they claim their prizes.

B.C. residents have redeemed over $17 million in winnings from Lotto Max in 2025. Lotto Max is a nationwide lottery game drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays.
