The Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake is preparing to launch a completely redesigned municipal website in August 2025.
The redesign aims to improve accessibility, enable mobile functionality, and support a more positive user experience. Some documents typically available on the Village website, such as council agendas, will not be posted until the new site is fully online.
鈥淭he goal is to create a modern, user-friendly site that enables staff to update content internally without requiring external IT support,鈥 a Village spokesperson said, emphasizing the importance of timely access to essential information such as municipal services, news, events, emergency alerts, and service notifications.
The project is being carried out by Upanup, a Victoria-based firm that specializes in municipal government websites. Once complete, the site will be managed by Village staff, with outside help only needed for major changes beyond the template鈥檚 capabilities.
The total development cost is $34,250, with an annual cloud-based hosting fee of $2,820鈥攁n increase of $180 over current costs. A $10,000 grant from the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako helped fund the project, with the remainder covered in the Village鈥檚 2025 operating budget.
鈥淧lanning and vendor evaluations began in fall 2024,鈥 the Village spokesperson said, adding that the cloud-hosted site will offer improved reliability, scalability, and access for remote users.
鈥淲e鈥檙e excited about this project and confident it will significantly enhance how we communicate and connect with our community.鈥
