Ts'il Kaz Koh Nation is warning its members to keep a close eye on their pets after two dogs were intentionally poisoned on the reserve according to a notice issued June 13, 2025.

Two dogs died after they were intentionally poisoned on the Ts'il Kaz Koh Nation reserve.

A veterinarian examined the dogs and determined the poisonings were deliberate, according to a public notice issued by the Nation to its members June 13.

The notice urged people to keep a close eye on their pets and report any suspicious activity to the RCMP. It said the dogs will be missed by their families.

"We are deeply sorry for the loss of these beloved pets," the notice said. "Our sympathies to the affected families."

"Please know that we are doing our best to support the safety of our members and their animals."
