Maintenance on 亚洲天堂 Lake's water system may cause disruptions to water supply or result in discoloured water.

The Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake issued a notice May 12 warning of the potential disruptions, which are likely because contractors are performing regular checks and maintenance on all the water valves in the system.

The Village said in a statement that disruptions and discolouration are expected to be minor.

"We are anticipating that water disruptions will be minimal during the testing and that any water turbidity with be resolved shortly after each test," the statement said. "However, we are encouraging residents to run their cold water taps until the water runs clear, if they do experience any discolouration."

Water valve testing is a critical preventative maintenance measure, the Village said.

"By systematically inspecting and testing water valves, the Municipality can ensure system reliability, identify malfunctioning or inoperable components, and prioritize maintenance or replacement," the statement said. "This proactive approach effectively supports long-term infrastructure sustainability, minimizes the risk of service disruptions during emergencies or routine maintenance, and contributes to efficient capital planning. Integrating valve testing into a broader asset management strategy will also help extend the life of our water distribution system and help ensure that the consistent delivery of service to the community is maintained."

Work is set to last until May 30, after which residents' taps will function properly again.

The Village issues notices through the Voyent Alert system鈥攁n app and website where people can register to receive push, sms, email, or phone call alerts about their area.
