Gallery: 亚洲天堂 Lake Show and Shine draws crowd and classic cars from across the North

58 vehicles on display at event

The annual 亚洲天堂 Lake Show and Shine brought together 58 vehicles and dozens of spectators for a sunny weekend of chrome, community, and classic car pride.

Hosted by the 亚洲天堂 Lake Car Club on the weekend of June 21 and 22, the event began with a sold-out Dinner Cruise to the Tatalrose Corner Store, where participants enjoyed laughter, conversation, and polished rides. Attendees came from across northern B.C., including Terrace, Prince George, Topley, Houston, Vanderhoof, and as far as Dawson Creek.

鈥淭he Dinner Cruise to Tatalrose Corner Store was a hit鈥攃ompletely full and buzzing with great people, laughter, and gleaming rides,鈥 organizers wrote in a Facebook post. 鈥淚t was wonderful to see familiar friends and new faces.鈥

The main event featured a wide variety of vehicles on display in the park, with the sunny weather contributing to the warm atmosphere.

鈥淲ith 58 registered vehicles, the show itself was as warm and welcoming as the sunny skies,鈥 the club wrote.

This year鈥檚 Owner鈥檚 Choice Award went to Grant Spankie for his 1969 Ford Mustang. The People鈥檚 Choice Award was won by Alexander Klassen for his 1985 GMC Sierra K1500 Pickup.

鈥淲e were proud to present this year鈥檚 awards to some truly stunning vehicles,鈥 organizers said.

The club thanked its volunteers for their behind-the-scenes work.

鈥淔rom the registration table to the car-parkers, the advertising whizzes to every hand in between鈥攖his wouldn鈥檛 happen without you. Your passion keeps the wheels turning,鈥 the post said.

Local RCMP participated in the show and brought along a freshly polished police vehicle.

鈥淚t was fantastic to see one of their units freshly polished and proudly on display. That kind of community involvement brings such a great vibe to the event.鈥

Sponsors included The Tahtsa Group, Bulkley Valley Credit Union, 亚洲天堂 Lake Community Forests, and JF Logging Ltd., whose big rig and branded swag were a major draw.

The Sum Shockin Good Food truck returned this year, offering coffee by donation to support Topley Show and Shine鈥檚 upcoming Show & Toy Drive on September 1.

鈥淭hank you all for making this show one to remember,鈥 the post said. 鈥淯ntil next time鈥攌eep the engines humming and the community strong!鈥
