Results are in for Cheslatta First Nation's 2025 election for chief and council.
Janet Whitford was elected chief, while Hazel Burt and Teddy Jack were elected as councillors.
Whitford received 77 votes, coming in ahead of her next-closest opponents Jennifer Joseph and Trenis Cahoose who both received 32 votes.
Burt received 118 votes and Jack received 93. There was only one other candidate for council鈥擝rooke Burt, who received 73 votes.
Chief Whitford and Councillors Burt and Jack are set to serve a four-year term for the nation.
