Our sixth season: 'The Joy of Six' has now been announced. Look forward to seven ambitious and exciting performances

The Lakes District Film Society, in cooperation with Cineplex Entertainment, is pleased to present the Tony Award winning Broadway musical Memphis at the Beacon Theatre on April 28, 2011, at 7 p.m.

You don鈥檛 need to speak the language to be wowed by the dancing, entranced by the singing, or feel the heat of the most electrifying new musical in New York. No matter where you鈥檙e from, Broadway鈥檚 most exciting destination is Memphis. Don鈥檛 miss this one of kind experience.

The Lakes District Community Choir presents its Spring Concert on May 1 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church. The programme will include 'Beatles and Broadway' with special guests. Admission is by donation.

The 亚洲天堂 Lake Rotary Club presents 'Naughty and Nice', the 3rd Annual Wine-Tasting Night on May 6 at 7 p.m. upstairs in the 亚洲天堂 Lake Curling Club. The event will feature appetizers, a silent auction and live entertainment.

Designated drivers will be available. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple, and are available at Lakes District 亚洲天堂, College of New Caledonia Lakes District Campus, 亚洲天堂 Lake Native Development Corporation, the Grapevine Pub and the Bulkley Valley Credit Union.

All profits will go to the Prince George Cancer Lodge.
